Bob Underwood, a third-generation farmer affectionately known as “Farmer Bob”, has always had his hands in the dirt. His love for farming led him from a childhood in the fields of Southern California to the halls of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he spent his Senior year of college studying abroad in New Zealand. Striking out to make his way after college, Farmer Bob journeyed to the Pacific Northwest and put theory to practice as a farm-hand on a local berry farm. Farmer Bob was quickly named Oregon’s “Young Farmer and Rancher of the Year” and over time moved from Farmhand to Figurehead as he played a key role in developing one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest award winning berry farms consistently named among the top 10 berry farms in the nation. His time, creativity, dedication and expertise allowed him the opportunity to travel the country and across the globe to deepen his knowledge and skills in developing sustainable and healthy food- leading to his latest innovation: “Beyond Berries”.

Farmer Bob’s enterprise is more than just a family farming business; it’s a community cornerstone dedicated to giving back. His guiding principle, “The health of the plant starts in the soil, and healthy people start with the plants they eat” reflects his holistic approach to farming. This philosophy influences every aspect of his operations, from ensuring the highest safety standards for his employees to producing berries of unmatched quality that he proudly serves at his own table.

A keystone to Beyond Berries is an emphasis on sustainability and innovation in upcycling Berries… But Better. With safety benchmarks that surpass industry standards, Farmer Bob ensures transparency and trust in every product. Farmer Bob’s commitment to zero waste means that every berry is used to its fullest potential, creating a legacy of responsible farming and delicious, nutritionally bountiful fruit.
